Nova Stars Group is a rapidly growing healthcare group supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health conditions through specialist residential, supported living and transitional services.

Weandrsquo;re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function and provide financial insight that supports growth and strategic decision-making.

Working closely with the CEO, Directors and Senior Leadership Team, youandrsquo;ll play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving processes and helping the Group scale sustainably.

The Role

As our Finance Manager, youandrsquo;ll be responsible for:

• Producing monthly management accounts across multiple group companies
• Managing budgets, forecasts and cash flow
• Analysing financial performance and providing commercial insight
• Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers, reconciliations and banking
• Overseeing payroll
• Ensuring VAT, statutory reporting and financial compliance are completed accurately and on time
• Supporting year-end accounts and external audits
• Developing financial controls, systems and reporting
• Working with operational teams to improve financial performance
• Supporting acquisitions, new service mobilisation and business growth
• Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement

Weandrsquo;re looking for a Finance Manager with:

• Experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Senior Finance Officer
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT Level 4
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems; Xero experience is desirable
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities
• A proactive, commercially focused approach with a passion for improving processes
• Previous finance experience within the health or social care sector would be highly advantageous, particularly within a multi-site or growing organisation

Systems

• Youandrsquo;ll work with Xero, BrightHR and Blip, with training provided where required.
